Killen's Barbecue
Killen's Barbecue was good, really good. It's no wonder the line is out the door so expect at least an hour wait when you arrive. But it's worth it.
The brisket was tender and moist. This should be eaten without sauce, to fully taste the smoked, meaty goodness. But if you absolutely need a sauce, Killen's offers three to choose from: tangy, sweet and a coffee sauce. The bone-in pork belly was good. The pulled pork sandwich topped with coleslaw was good. The cream corn and mac and cheese were really good, which are probably from the same recipes they use at Killen's Steakhouse. Everything was good!
My prediction is that this place will be as big as Franklin Barbeque, if not bigger.
My recommendation: Go! Well, if you're willing to wait outside for a long time in this nasty Texas weather.
